Pastoral Readiness Assessment (Church)
Pastoral Readiness Assessment (Church) | Questionnaire

Apart from God, His Word and His Spirit, the greatest single influence upon a church is its pastor. The pastor's character, competency, teaching and daily interaction with the church and staff, along with the pastor's theology and priorities in ministry, will shape a church more than anything else.

Pastors who intentionally lead through the church renewal process must have an especially well-honed skillset. These skills can be categorized into three Biblical roles. Each of these roles must be specifically developed to meet the unique challenges of revitalizing a church. A pastor must be: (1) a wise elder, (2) a strategic overseer, and (3) a transformational shepherd.

All three of these roles have special subsets of skills that a revitalizing pastor must possess in order to increase the likelihood of a successful church revitalization. Even if a pastor does not feel skilled in these areas, it is possible to grow into them through education, coaching and intentional skillset development.
